I think you are starting off with way too many boards. I've always found it best to start off small, then expand as you grow according to your members interests. As it is now, it will take forever to get all of those boards active, and there is no guarantee each one will be active, as you don't know what kind of members, and who you will get at your forum. Every inactive board will only make more of the forum as a whole look more inactive. As members start coming in, notice their interests, notice the things they are talking about. If a subject is getting alot of conversation, maybe it could warrant it's own board, but like I said, it's best to start off with a few, good topics, then expand as your grow according to your members interests. Keep in mind there is a sub-board feature now in Proboards which can organize a forum if done right. Too many boards or even categories on the main page might make the guests not register. Also, some of your boards you created there is no board description under the board title explaining what the board is about. Notice the little descriptions for all the boards that was created at this forum? The board descriptions make it easier for guests and members to find the board they are interested in and lurk around easier. How Many Boards Should I Have On My Forum?

Well, I wasn't sure just how many I should add...Muse is supposed to be a forum where people can post stories (or links to their stories). I wanted to start off with enough boards so people could post whatever stories/poems they wanted. And I didn't really feel that it was necessary to give descriptions to most of the boards. They seemed self explanitory...I'd like to attract members that can post stories in any of the boards...
Considering that I don't want to take any of the fiction/nonfiction or poetry boards off, which other ones should I delete? Or should I seriously consider deleting some of the story/poem boards?
Also, have I posted too many rules??? I was reading some of the posts on the ProBoards support forum and they said too many rules turned members away. Could you give me any advice???
