wolfsbanesociety.comThe Wolfsbane Society is currently collecting donations which will be given to the local American Red Cross chapter for Katrina relief efforts. If you do not want to donate through the Society, you can click some of the links listed on the main page. Want to donate through the Society?- After reading the message on the main Society webpage, you will find an email address (which will be in bold) that you will need to email. Make sure to include the amount of money you will be donating.
- Once I recieve your email, I will send a confirmation email that will include my home mailing address.
- All you need to include in your envelope is a regular size sheet of paper that has your name on it (first and last, unless you don't wish to reveal your real name to me). If that is the case, just include the name you use on Gray Grid Designs and a note, if you wish. You need to pay for postage.
- At this time I will only accept cash or money order.
I hope some of you decide to donate through the Society, but if you're not comfortable, or you don't trust me, I completely understand. You can also search on the website listed on my main page, and they list even more sites you can visit.

Why cant we, if we want to donate, donate directly to e.g. the Red Cross. YOu said you do that... But why do we need to go through you if we can go directly to them? It sounds fishy to me...

That does sound a little fishy to me also. It's easier to just send the money straight to the Red Cross then to send a payment to you. How would we know if all the money get's there? (I gave a good amount already, my work had something set up.) In fact the computer company i work at is building some computers and servers for the folks over there. I'm happy that i'll be something something to help out.
My Aunt's 2 step son's are still missing. No way to contact them. They are in there early 30's and can take care of themselves but....

Ya there are plenty of places that you can send $ directly to the red cross. Its a shame that some people would even think of making a scame out of this.

It's for the people that can't (for whatever reason) go directly to the Red Cross, or the Salvation Army, or Good Will, or whatever other relief effort they were wanting to donate to. Ya there are plenty of places that you can send $ directly to the red cross. Its a shame that some people would even think of making a scame out of this. It's also a shame people are quick to point fingers without finding out all of the facts. Perhaps when I get a return letter/email from the American Red Cross chapter and major radio station located in Cleveland, stating some sort of affilition and support of my relief fund, people'll actually start to believe I'm not a greedy teen who wants people's money.

People jump on people when it comes to money and where it goes but we all have our own opinions on things. My Aunt's 2 step-sons are still missing and she is really a mess right now. I already gave money and will give more when i get paid this week. Do what you gotta do to help out those in need. I just happy that some people are trying to take things into there own hands to help out. Some people may think certain things but don't let a few opinions stop what you are doing. Just my 2 cents after thinking about some stuff.

*looks at banner closely*
Is it me or is the picture in the banner from an anime book? Possibly Chobits?
Maybe I'm imagining things.
Yeah, the Red Cross dosen't collect money from other societies. Those societies that you hear send the money to the affected area directly, it never goes to the Red Cross. Also, that site looks really unofficial. There's no staff list or anything. Also, I have never heard of the Wolfsbane Society anywhere. I think it's a scam. What a shame.

Also, I have never heard of the Wolfsbane Society anywhere. I think it's a scam. What a shame. No, it's not. I don't have an affiliation directly with the Red Cross (though I'm contacting them for the proper paperwork, which they said they would send to me when they get the chance). I'm also trying to affiliate with the local county animal shelter, which is taking donations in support of pets down in New Orleans. They've sent a few locals down there to help find some animals, and so far, it's a great success. I'll also be affiliating with my school Key Club which I recently joined. If that's not enough to prove to you it's not a scam, then I'm sorry, you have small brain capacity. There is no staff list because there is no staff; the Society has been around since 2004, and has been used for child advocacy goals (so unless you're a long term child advocact, you won't have heard of it) and has brought in a great deal of money so far for it's advocacy goals. We're also a non-profit organization, so clearly I can't make any money off of anything I do.

What do you mean people wouldn't be able to contact the redcross? Local Fire Department? Local Law Enforcements? Schools?! There are pleanty of places to go, rather then some "radio stations" cheap looking site. Let alone, there is no certification saying our payments are secure. Nobody uses mail anymore when comes to sending money. You have online banking, paypal, western something...

Perhaps affiliatioin with the Medina County ADT, Medina High School, and Q104 Radio isn't enough to get my support effort through a few thick headed people. Next time I have a donation, I'll be sure to avoid letting people here know about it.
