Who many of you like this board software? I think it's great! It's very customisable, and user friendly. I would highly suggest this to install on their server to anyone who is looking for a bulletinboard system.

I am more of a fan of vBulletin myself, the new version that they are coming out with is awsome you can edit things just by double clicking then hitting enter, all in the same page.

Wow, vBulletin sounds neat. I have to check that out. If you don't mind telling me what's the new version #, that'll be great.

I belong to a Vbullentin board for the past 3 years as a member. I hardley even post there cause proboards sucked me in. lol
Edit.. i just found out few mintues ago, one of the Vbullentin boards i have been a posting at for the past 3 almost 4 years shut down. For the past 2 days i thought they was upgrading. So i logged onto Yahoo messenger and talked to a few members and found out that the Admin didn't pay her host for the past 2 months. What a way to shut down a board cause of a admin not paying the bills. 700 MEMBERS gone and i had a lot of pic's and important PM's saved. I'm a little upset but i gotta get some things done today and will forget about it., Don't you just hate it when Admin of boards don't put time into there board?

Don't have to worry about that with me. But yeah, I really like forums where they have a competent staff. If the admin is unable to solely handle the workload, then s/he should hire some help.

Tommy... If you had an Invision Power Board for your GGD I'd visit it more often <_<

I think I'd be safe to say better then phpBB. Tommy... If you had an Invision Power Board for your GGD I'd visit it more often <_< Do you have any specific reasons why? If they're something I can code (and I/we like the idea) I'll do it.

I tried asking Martyn to switch us to HyperBoards. Why? They suck.

HBv2? Oh, most definitely not. It's a lot better than Proboards feature wise, but I don't know about user-friendlyness as it's still being coded and is in beta.

i only started using message boards like this last year and i was surprised that some of them actually release the coding for personal use so you can create and manage it yourself.
give the pro's and con's of having an open source code like IPB and phpBB (only 2 i know of right now that have an open source)
